About Chiro

What Can I Expect During My First Visit with Dr. David R. Mote?

Each doctor's office process will vary. Upon entering Dr. Mote's office, you can expect to be greeted by a professional and courteous staff. You will be requested to complete a full medical history questionnaire, which will provide us with any general information about you and you condition.

You will then consult with Dr. Mote. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to you and your condition. It is also for Dr. Mote to express his role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis and potential treatment options.

A thorough and comprehensive physical exam will then be performed which will include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific chiropractic evaluation. In some cases, X-rays, or more advanced diagnostic studies such as MRI, CT scan, bone scan, Laboratory tests, nerve conductions studies(NCV) and electromyoagraphy(EMG) may be necessary to help determine an exact diagnosis.

Dr. Mote will then diagnose your condition and go over the results of the examination with you. If Dr. Mote believes he can help you, he will prescribe a treatment plan and wellness program (or other recommended treatments) specific to your condition. Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of their appointment. This may include but not limited to a gentle soft tissue treatment, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, ice or heat, traction, soft tissue massage, and rehabilitative exercises, or aquatic therapy.

In some cases, referral to another healthcare specialist, such as orthopedist, neurologist, podiatrist etc. may be considered.

Your fist visit to our chiropractic office may include a physical examination as well as x-rays. Dr. David R. Mote is located in Boynton Beach, FL.
